* Here's What we have been up to in Kindergarten! We took a walk in the garden and this is what we saw....     This is the pond that the frogs live in.        This is a pumpkin that last year kindergarteners grew.         This is a pear tree.  The Science Specialist is showing us a tent worm house in the tree. This is a bog, which is different than a pond. The birds and butterflies love these flowers. This is a rock.  There are lots of rocks in the garden. These are elephant ears.  We can't believe how big they are. This is the bell.  We love to ring it. _____________________________________________________________ Here is what we did at the Botanical Gardens:                      The first part of the trip we had to sit and listen to the tour guides.   We used our eyes to see nature all around us. We are happy to be on our first field trip!                                                                                                                          We are using our sense of sight Some children are looking at the fish                           to look around the garden. and lilly pads in the pond. Our guide shows us how to use our sense of touch. We can feel the slimy leaves in the pond.                        We loved all the art in the garden, but especially the pink pig. This is the home of Paul Greene, a famous North Carolina writer.   We heard a story inside.
